Payment Analyst

This role is crucial in managing technical and administrative aspects of payment coordination for E3S systems and processes related to Healthcare Professionals (HCP) and External Expert (EE). You will be responsible for ensuring accurate and compliant processing of payments in accordance with policies, procedures, regulations, and transparency/disclosure reporting requirements. Accountabilities:
As a Payment Analyst, you will be responsible to:
Stakeholder engagement: Interact with external stakeholders in compliance with AstraZeneca SOPs.
Payment execution: Execute prompt, timely payments to External Experts (EEs) and patients.
Reimbursement initiation: Initiate processes to reimburse EEs for contracted services.
Data collection and collaboration: Partner with the Business Engagement Owner and/or Medical Communications agency to collect required data and documents.
Payment preparation: Prepare and submit payment requests for processing by Finance.
Templates and tools: Utilize and maintain standard payment templates and tools.
Data integrity: Maintain accurate data across Salesforce, ePay, and DocuSign systems.
Query management: Manage timely delivery and resolution of ad hoc queries from EEs, customers, and other stakeholders.
Essential Skills/Experience:
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Finance operations: Initial experience in Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable.
Customer service: Proven customer service experience; proactive and consultative approach.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong interpersonal skills.
Tools and systems: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management; working knowledge of SAP; comfort with technical systems.
Quality and controls: Strong attention to detail; strong organizational skills; problem-solving ability.
Ethics and discretion: High ethical standards; trustworthy; operate with absolute discretion.
Ways of working: Ability to work across cultures and geographical boundaries; positive “can-do” attitude.
